I was expecting someone to speak with me after inspecting my car to explain what needed to be done. I waited for almost two hours, which was fine. Then I received a text message saying my car was ready for pickup, and all communication was done through text. I thought someone would personally approach me to explain what had been done to my vehicle. The text message listed the charges, but since no one spoke to me, I went to the register to ask if my car was finished. No one had discussed the work performed. I was told that they completed the inspection, oil change, and tire rotation. I was surprised that this time everything was handled through text, and after paying the charges, that was it. Was just used to the old times.
I had to make two separate appointments because the operator who set up the appointment for me on Wednesday 02/17 didnt order the part for my warranty recall anti theft upgrade. My leg was recently injured and I had to move some appointments around just to be able to make it on friday so that my vehicle is secure. I shouldn't be on my leg while injured but it seems like I wasnt given a choice having to come back a second time.
Great customer service! Great experience!
Service rep Erique I have nothing but good things to say about. He takes care of my issues. The problem I have is the actual work done.
1. My driver side door handle was replaced because the sensor stopped working. I noted it stopped working when we had our 1st rain here. I mentioned that. Rather than trying to find the source of the issue the handle was replaced.
In the process the cars door on the inside was damaged due to them taking off the door panel without protecting the car.
2. I brought the car back to have the damage fixed and the paint and chip was fixed and the damaged trim was replaced but the dent is still there. At this point im not bringing it back in cuz Ive lost trust in the technicians. Plus everytime I got my car back the fingerprints all over the driver door window frustrates me. At least this last time they attempted to clean them off but only smeared it. Ill clean it myself. Ive very particular about my windows.
3. After all this work I get my car back and as you know it rained again and guess what doesnt work again. The driver side door sensor.
Yeah the one that was put in doesnt work anymore. Why because it rained again. Just like I said from the start. The rain is causing the doorhandle sensor to stop working. So Now what should I do? Bring the car back to have yall damage the car again and inconvenience me again? Yall will just replace the door handle rather than finding the problem and fixing it.then I have to worry about this car getting damaged again? This is the 1st brand new car I have ever gotten. Up until this issue with the door handle I have had nothing but amazing things to say about norm reeves hyundai in cerritos. I still think Enrique a great rep and did a good job. My issue is with the work done and the issue is still not resolved. The one time one needs that damn door handle to work properly is when its raining plus this is a new car this should not be happening. If u want to reach out to me about this yall have my number. ****-****-xxxx
Very friendly, very informative, very professional.
I recommend them.
ENRIQUE and the whole staff was absolutely amazing
Your service team is the best!
They ordered the wrong part. Just wasted my time.
Is there someone who can reprogram the features that are no longer working due to recent updates?
The value for a $55K 24 IONIQ5 with 5K miles trade in is not realistic.
Marlen was great! However there was some confusion regarding the reason for service. We had made a claim for delamination of paint in June of 2024. They inspected the car and said left side doors, roof, hood, and deck lid would be repaired. I mention that the right side doors had spots where the paint was beginning to lift (bubbes). I was told they couldn’t repair the spots unless the paint was actually off. So when the paint was off, I called about having the right side repainted. The person was professional and said it was still under warranty, and made the appoint 2 mos. In advance for 2/17/26. Cerritos Hyundai said the warranty was expired, still inspected the damaged and sent it to corporate for approval. This is unfortunate because the damage on the right side was indicative of future failure of the paint, and yet ignored.
Three hours for an appointment. Was told two.
After having a horrible experience at South Bay Hyundai, arriving at your dealership was a breath of fresh air. EVERYONE was professional, friendly and helpful. Although I didn't get all my issues addressed due to financial restraints, Louie communicated costs, expected wait times and I was provided updates and videos.
Courteous and completely satisfied
Good thing is the overall quality was really nice, staffs were friendly including my advisor Enrique. However I got a concern, after a while of researching after the service, I realized my car hasn’t need to be changed the brake fluid yet (more than 20k miles). I bought my Elantra brand new and the brake fluid supposed to last up to 40k miles as I researched and what I have been told by the expert, and overall I still think that my brake was fine and double check with Enrique about it, but he made it like it was necessary to change the brake fluid now so I accept. But I got it change, I paid for the service cause I was lack of knowledge about this. What a big lesson! And I just think maybe from now on I just gonna reject all the service that Huyndai offer during my oil change. Thank you!
Way too expensive for a diagnostic
