Everything was fine until picking up the vehicle: after completing the paperwork I waited 20 minutes with no car in sight, then asked the cashier what was happening and was assured it would be out in a couple of minutes. 10 minutes later I asked again and was told the battery was dead and they were trying to jump start it—of course I had heard nothing about any such problem—and then, after she called for the service advisor, that they were trying to find the car. Finally it showed up, and I was told the dead battery was another car. NOT reassuring!

Should have been more proactive in finding possible reasons for the engine light issue instead diagnostics right away. An advisor should be someone who seeks to help and show empathy
