I discovered that my van was leaking oil for 24 ish hours so I took it back to your service department to then find out the oil filter housing was cracked. I had the oil changed not even 3 weeks prior in the express area where I waited for 2 hours after being told it would be a 1 hour wait time. Your dealership is the only place that has changed the oil in this van for the last 3 years. Until recently I’ve always had great service and been pleased. After bringing it back to the service department I waited another 90 mins before being told what was wrong with the van causing the oil leak and 2 hours later left there without a quote or if the parts needed were even available. That evening into the following day I spoke to two other dodge dealers service departments and three independent mechanics who all said the oil filter was over tightened which lead to the housing cracking hence causing the leaking oil everywhere. When I questioned this I was told that wasn’t the cause and that “it happens commonly” and to fix it would be $1000! I’ve never heard of this happening to anyone so I doubt it’s a common problem. There was no acknowledgement that this could be the cause or discounted rate of repair offered. Now I have a van leaking oil that I need to find someone more reasonably priced to fix it. I will no longer be doing business at this dealer.
