I took my Forester in to complete an oil consumption test. It failed. The service manager let me know of the failure and said he would contact Subaru to follow up and would let me know within 3 days of the outcome. Over a week later I'd gotten no response. Even after contacting him I got no response. Therefore I contacted Subaru myself to discover there had been no follow-up from Livermore Subaru. Subaru Customer service has not heard from this dealership either after trying to start a dialog. My Forester has had oil issues from the day I took possession of it. Work was done but nobody actually acknowledged there was a problem and it was never fixed. Only after the warranty lapsed that the oil consumption problem was addressed and acknowledged. I've paid out of pocket to fix what should have done years ago. This does not speak well of Livermore Subaru.

He is a very good representative of your company, but they could use more help as he does service alone, when we couldn’t get to him to see if our car was ready, we had to make a few calls waiting until he called back to tell us to come down. He’d been at a late lunch

Vehicle was brought in for oil change at 7:45 am with an appointment. . At drop off, told Alex about a nail found in left front tire. He said it most likely can be patched. Came to pick up car at 1:30, When I inquired about nail, he said it wasn’t on the service sheet. Told us to come back in 1hr. We showed at 2:35. It was 2:47 before someone even asked if we needed help. Car STILL not ready. Alex proceeded to tell me that 2 guys quit, they were short staffed & I needed to be patient. Excuse me? I’m the customer, I do t need to be talked to like that. Finally Ahmed (spelling?) came to help us and we got the car. Ahmed was very professional and helpful. He should definitely train the new hires.

There needs to be some serious work around customer incoming procedures. There's no line, or queue, or ticket system. People are just walking in willy nilly and being helped out of order. I had an appointment for 8:45AM. I didn't get helped until maybe 9:30AM. Meanwhile, I'm pretty sure I was cut in line by 2 people who showed up 15 or 20 minutes after me. This has happened every time I've been coming to Livermore Subaru. And because of how unpredictable this store is with incoming, I have to use PTO to ensure I can get the car serviced w/o exceeding the mileage checkpoints by too much and to avoid complications with work. That's not a practice I find to be sustainable. I mean, after having this car for 10 years, 9 of them using Subaru dealership services in Washington, Livermore is extremely disappointing with its speed and execution of prompt in-person customer support.

I didn’t have to wait long to get help. Vince was quick and thorough . Helped me make the right choice for service, explained repairs and what I could do to maintain my battery life. Checkout was quick.

Alex has excellent customer service. What I appreciate is he took the time to explain to me about the different service needed for my vehicle and future service and cost for my next service. My only comment is to improve the time for service. I spent 3 1/2 hours waiting for my vehicle for a basic oil/filter/ tire rotation and inspection. Alex did update me during my wait. Thank you.

The GPS system failed. I detailed the symptoms, the troubleshooting steps I took and left my car there at 8:30 AM Friday. When I picked up my car at 5:30 PM the technician had simply duplicated my troubleshooting steps. The problem was not diagnosed, much less fixed. A waste of everyone’s time and money. I returned my car Monday and this time the problem was verified and a replacement “head” ((gps/radio?) was ordered. It appears the new part may take a week or more to be delivered. I haven’t lost faith in Subaru reliability or Livermore service, but, for the first time, I am concerned. Meanwhile I will use Apple CarPlay.
