I brought my Jetta in for an oil change and tire rotation. Unfortunately I wasn’t paying attention. They ended up doing a 40,000 mile service and my car only had 32,235. My son had paid the bill and I called the service department because I had coupons for 109$ oil change and 25$ tire rotation. My total ended up being 334$. I’m not sure why the service department chose to do the extra work at this time. When my car doesn’t have 40,000 miles. Again I didn’t pay close attention when I signed the estimate but makes me question their intentions. I wasn’t prepared to pay all that money.

Felipe was an amazing service representative. So nothing against Felipe. He’s was wonderful and helped me with my major repair. Before even leaving the lot/service area I was greeted with a check engine light and car was running lean. I was able to get my same loaner car back and have them put it back into a service dock. I hope we don’t have to go more out of pocket for a repair that the mechanic should’ve caught prior to me leaving. Especially since it wasn’t a cause of me driving the vehicle and that code/ repair wasn’t needed prior to the previous repair.

I had an excellent customer experience provided by Felipe Rosas. He follows thru my questions regarding the revive of my car and he made sure that the service was done satisfactorily. Felipe is a very good service rep.

I understand i did not bring up the air bag light, but anyone who sat in my car would have clearly seen the light on. Unless things have changed since I worked in a service department, that should have been something at least brought to my attention BEFORE my car was done so it could get checked. Especially if it wasn't on due to one of the recalls. Is the dashboard not part of the service maintenance inspection? Not at all thrilled i will now have to come back again for something that could have, at the very least, been checked while the car was there.
