Josue did an excellent job mitigating an issue that came up in my service visit.
I was disappointed that it wouldn’t be done til 4-ish when the recall letter said to expect the repair to take one hour. I dropped it off at 10. I would have preferred to know that sooner. Also, if that was the case due to it being a busy service day just before the holiday, I would have waited for a slower day. Thanks.

The original estimate was $420 to replace the car battery and review check engine light, and I was told the $160 CEL review would be $0 if it was related to the battery. The service rep told me the battery needed to be replaced and that he would add coupons to the price and not charge for the check engine light. So in my mind the total would be less than 400. But the when it came to paying, the cashier wanted me to sign a new estimate for $660, to which I disagreed, so they changed it to $492, but there’s no explanation why the price went up from $420 to $492, instead of going down with coupons. I called yesterday to speak to Renato and was told he’s there but busy and will call back. Raul called me and said he’ll call me tomorrow (today) once he finds out. In addition to the $146 VW roadside assistance fee to jump start the car VW basically wanted $800 to replace a battery. I have been to this service department 4 times now and the other 3 times I brought the physical blue coupon that gets mailed to me about every month and every time the service writer acknowledges the coupon and even staples it to the work order but the cashier always “forgets” about it or has to find it and re write the work order. Before I gave the benefit of the benefit of the doubt but when there is a hassle 4 times in a row it looks like it’s on purpose and dishonest.

My car is not even 2 years old and has only 17,000 and my breaks are already having issues. When I took it in I was informed break issues are not under warranty (I even purchased an extended warranty) and it would cost $159.00 just to diagnose. Also I was discouraged when the service manager said I hadn’t had my car serviced, which was false. I had it serviced at just over 10,000 miles at Norm Reeves. I am now taking my car to an independent mechanic for a free evaluation and at least $300 less for brakes.
He was very pleasant and took care of processing my car in a timely manner.
