The service team at the location was polite and courteous as usual. The repair escalation process, the way the dealer communicates with engineers at corporate seems ridiculous to me and an inefficient and frustrating way to fix persistent issues. Furthermore, the dealer must have left the windows of my vehicle down for some time because the cottonwood trees had dropped a wealth of seeds into it during its 2 week stay. I’m assuming that’s what caused the putrid smell. As per usual, the vehicle was dirtier than it was when we brought it in, there was pen or something on the driver seat and some black sticky substance on the door, steering wheel and side of driver seat. The repair itself took a frustrating amount of time which didn’t seem to be the dealer’s fault. What was on the dealer was the amount of cleaning I had to do when we got it back. The back seat wasn’t great when we brought it in (2 kids) but the amount of detailed required in the cockpit is pretty frustrating. Still can’t get the awful smell out. Hopefully a fresh air freshener an airing it out in the garage tonight will do it. Overall, not great, some on the dealer some on corporate

After a long wait of 9 months for the parts the recall was finally able to be completed.
My Service Writer Anthony recommended that my cabin filter be changed every 15,000 miles, while I was in for an oil change. Thank you for the reminder, because I have been noticing a not-so-fresh smell. Replaced the cabin filter, and the not-so-fresh smell is gone! Thank you!
