I took my car to different Honda dealership
Ridiculous that labor to have my starter replaced was $570 on 2/28. I dropped the car off around noon and picked it up a little before 5pm. How is labor that expensive? Also, how is it the starter had to be replaced at all? 2017 Honda Civic with 47,264 miles on it. First reported the problem in August 2021 and they said they ran a diagnostic and nothing was found. The car had 43,462 miles at that time. Also bad AC compressor which was replaced free of charge due to known problems, but then the evaporator needed to be replaced on 10/27/21 for $581 and I was told I was given a good rate for that. How on earth could that have gone bad on a relatively new car with low mileage? The starter/labor cost me $1,188.61. I looked high and low for the helpful Honda guy that day. At this point, I don't have much confidence in my car or Honda cars in general and would not get another one nor recommend Honda. This is no reflection of your tech guys, it is for the quality of the car. I cannot believe close to $2,000 was spent in a short period of time for service/labor on this car. The tech guys are always nice, but again, it is the quality of the car that is very disappointing to me. I don't have that kind of money to spend.

We were told we could pick up the car any time before 5:45. We got there at 5:35 and were told the service area was closed and there was no way we could get our car that evening. We live about 30 minutes away, so the drive took about an hour of our time, not to mention we now have to go two days without the car and have to drive another 30 mins x 2 to get back to the dealership. We are incredibly frustrated.

I only wish that Honds would have let me know about the software problem instead of finding out at the dealer service department after having the car warning lights go on.
