I dropped my vehicle off at 11:00 for oil and tires and was told there were a couple of recalls. I waited until 3 to check status since I had not heard anything. I was notified at that time that my car would not be done until 5:30ish. At drop off I was not told that my car would take over 6 hours. This caused me to be stranded at work well after I got off and also made my child late.
If a vehicle service is going to take more than just a couple of hours it would be the courteous thing to notify the customer at drop off so they can plan accordingly.
