Horrible experience I would like a call back to discuss. McGrath has had my vehicle for over a month giving me the runaround. Jake is the worst! No initiative, no follow up tells me the same answer every week. Does not do what he says he is going to do. I will NEVER service my car here again. I would not recommend this place to any friends or family in the future.
The service from Jayce Steller was amazingly professional on my issues for xc40 He was working solo and multi-tasked to get things completed. In a holiday window. There needs some organizing in the company with man power to keep repeat customers. This pattern has appeared for a year. I buy service not parts and I know the old school of good service is challenging in todays market. There needs to be more team work and more staff to roll up there sleeves in peak times. I was a customer of McGrath in Glenview and that should be the model.
Service fine. Contact sloppy. I texted and called twice about vehicle status using the welcome text message I received when checking in and had no response You should pay more attention to your promised communications even if it is a simple I don’t know yet. No response was frustrating. My former Volvo dealer in Ft. Washington, Pa was very meticulous on customer communication and was well liked in the community. Your work is good. Communication so-so.

Jace is great and the guy taking my car into service was great, sorry, don’t remember name, and service was great. However, my loaner, while a super nice feature was not reserved my first visit so showed up and had to reschedule and leave. Then the next appt, loaner was super dirty, like really dirty.
Jace was very nice. I brought in the coach to have interior and exterior treatments after purchase. From the time I bought it and the time I brought it in for the treatments, the SOS light started blinking and would not stop. I requested they look at it. Jace said they would, and they did, but not until 2 PM and by then the treatment man had left. Apparently it required a software update which is strange is the vehicle we only purchased a week ago and it’s a 2023. They wanted the vehicle overnight. I had hoped to get a loaner car but my wife had to drive an hour to get me as no loaner cars were available because the one I could’ve had had a flat. The treatments were performed the next morning and the vehicles ready by 9 o’clock There appears to be a driver side door handle scratch when I picked it up although I am not sure it will not polish out, and as the lawn had been cut after vehicle was parked outside for pickup, it was full of lawn detritus and vegetation. Not a great start to my Volvo service experience, but Jace was very nice and I have no major issues.
Just trying to keep my car running. Can't afford a new one.
