Unfortunately, the shop foreman refused to have someone conduct a visual inspection beneath my engine in order to figure out what was causing a loud metallic clunking noise when placing my transmission in reverse. The shop foreman did ride me in my vehicle and I was able to replicate the noise. I fully expected him to have the underbody inspected after he drove away with my SUV. Unfortunately, immediacy’s after discovering my vehicle underwent a collision repair, he decided to do NOTHING with my vehicle and immediately blamed the noise on the previous repair. I was told that I had to drive my vehicle all the way to Supreme Toyota in Hammond just to conduct a visual inspection of my vehicle. I purchased this vehicle from Hampton Toyota and you would think your service department would (at a bare minimum), conduct a cursory inspection of my vehicles undercarriage. Again, my biggest concern was SAFETY. However, when I arrived at Supreme Toyota, it took them less than five minutes to figure out the noise had absolutely nothing to do with my collision or the repairs. The cause of the clunking noise was due to a slight bend to the metallic exterior surrounding the muffler. Apparently it was bent while doing “light” off-roading on Wyoming several months ago. this summer in Wyoming. I was also informed that I had to pay for a $134 diagnostic fee if the problem was not warranty related and of course I agreed. I explained to your shop foreman that I was concerned about the safety of driving my vehicle. While I was not charged the $134 diagnostic fee, I believe that Hampton and the shop foreman owed me a cursory inspection of my vehicles undercarriage in order to ensure it was safe to continue driving. My biggest concern going forward is Hampton’s continued refusals to even inspect the undercarriage of my vehicle should it develop any kind of noise that I can’t locate.

Exceptional service by Phillip. He keep me in the know of the progress of my car through text messaging. He told me about my battery condition not pressuring me to buy a battery. He was kind and courteous. He lead me to my car by opening the exit door of the building and thank me. He gave a quote for brakes replacement on my next visit.
