This was my first visit to Hampton Toyota as I had just purchased a new Grand Highlander in Atlanta prior to moving to Louisiana. Steven was welcoming, polite and friendly. He explained all that would happen as this was the first 5,000 mile service. Steven communicated during the process. Happy to have found such a great service advisor and dealership to service my new vehicle. Great job!

I called last week and scheduled an appointment to address a safety recall on my Highlander (changing parts to address a front bumper concern) and a tire rotation. When I checked in this morning with the technician, I was told the parts were not ordered for my safety recall. The technician stated the parts would be ordered and I would receive a call when they were in to reschedule another appointment. The technician could clearly see how displeased I was that I would once again have to return to address the recall. He kindly apologized and explained there was a disconnect between the individual scheduling the appointments and the parts being ordered, that this had happened before, and I must be one of the last customers on the tail end to be impacted. The first time this happened, I would have expected the service manager to check all future scheduled recall appointments to see if the parts were in and reach out to the customer to reschedule if not. Had I known the parts were not in, I would have postponed the tire rotation until the recall and rotation could have been addressed at the same time. I have realistic expectations - I understand things go wrong. My disappointment is that the issue wasn’t addressed and fixed after the first time it happened, causing the same issue to negatively impact additional customers when it didn’t have to. The technician was polite, professional, and he did nothing wrong. The lack of procedures in place from when the appointment was booked and the parts not being ordered is what caused my displeasure.
