Purchased new vehicle in May and was told I would have 2 free oil changes. Got the first one with no problems then my wife went to get the second one yesterday and was told we only got one free.. I’m not a big fan of being told one thing and then something else happening.

The bottom line is I got a good deal on the truck and a fair trade. The deal was by far from being executed flawlessly. Not only did they waste a lot of my time by dragging the deal out longer than necessary (and frankly almost lost the deal all together as I was literally on the highway headed back home when I got a call to come back), but once the deal was finalized I waited around on them to clean the truck for a couple more hours only to find out that they were “backed up” and hadn’t even gotten to it yet so I got there at 2:30pm and didn’t leave until 7:30pm and the truck was still dirty. Made it home around 8:30pm. The next day I discovered a couple more minor issues as they left off the lock lug nuts on each wheel so I had to put them on myself after I went through the car wash. The tracking device was left on my key fob so I have to mail it back. Again, the truck is very nice and I’m glad I got a great deal on it, but overall the experience could have and frankly should have been executed a lot better. My time is valuable and I simply don’t have 6-7 hours to waste on a transaction that should have taken an hour tops. Lastly, I was never really offered an option to have the vehicle delivered to me.

I have spoken with Justin, so no need to contact me. I just want to clarify and document in this response the actual sequence of events. My truck was started without the top side cartridge oil filter present. Oil was blown or sprayed into the engine compartment. I was not informed of this when I picked up my truck. I got about 2 miles away and spelled oil burning off the manifold. I then noticed a Service Stabilization System message. Then the T/C and Traction Control symbols appeared. My truck was missing or slipping when I tried to pick up speed. I pulled over, shutoff the engine and called dealership. I was told to bring it back. When I restarted it, the symbols were off but the check engine symbol came on. When I got back to dealership and asked why I was smelling hot oil, I was then told about the oil spraying into the engine compartment. As I understand it, this is when the codes were cleared / reset, the engine compartment was sprayed down with contact cleaner and the truck was test driven. The write-up I requested kinda indicates this all happened during the oil change. I just wanted this all documented as it actually happened, because I have concerns I may have future problems due to this unfortunate incident. When I spoke with Justin, I expressed my concerns and that I hoped the dealership would take care of any problems. He said they would. Thanks for allowing me to provide feedback and document my concern.
