For the most part my experience was very good, especially with Hector Gonzalez. Hector was extremely helpful and professional. My only complaint is that the map system was down the day of my service so I could not get my maps updated like I had hoped. Other than that it was an excellent experience.
Cristian Squitti - The salesperson we interacted with was great! He did everything well and we really enjoyed our experience at the test drive and delivery.
However, I was not satisfied with the experience of his manager, Robert Topaloyan. There were a lot of things that did not go right during our interaction. I can list a few here :
1. We were forced into financing our car through Audi Financial Services (AFS) because of some voucher we presented through my employment with Apple. I later emailed Audi Affinity and confirmed that using the voucher does not require us to finance it through AFS.
2. Our car came with 'Running Boards' as an additional package. Almost every other Audi dealer we went to in the Bay Area said they would take it off for no removal charge before delivery. Robert refused to do this. In fact, we were told that it would cost the service department 4 hours of work and hundreds of dollars if we wanted this option.
3. An initial amount was quoted to us. When we were signing the actual paperwork, this amount had increased by a few hundred dollars. It was only because we were vigilant that we spotted this and brought it to their notice. Eventually, this was reduced back to the price that was quoted, but it felt like we were about to be cheated.
4. A part of our deal was to provide 'All Weather Performance Mats and the Cargo Mats'. Despite having sent him a reminder email for keeping both of these ready at time of delivery, we were not given the Cargo Mat at delivery. Some excuses were made and we were asked to come back later.
Overall, I would say this is not the experience we should get from a manager at a dealership when we are buying a premium car.

I drove my A4 into the service center unannounced due to my car reading Stop the Engine Immediately. Chris came to my rescue and I was treated as though I had arrived on time, to a scheduled appointment. He was kind, patient and through in explaining what could be wrong with my car. A rental car was arranged with seamless pick up. Chris kept me updated during the process. I received A+++ service from Chris and will highly recommend Royal Motors.
