We brought our Volvo XC60 in for routine maintenance and to have one of the windows repaired since our car was broken into last week. In the past, with other car service providers I’ve felt pressured to pay for unnecessary upgrades and services. So needless to say I wasn’t looking forward to having the car maintenanced and I was already upset that the car was burglarized. Jim’s attitude and exquisite customer service completely erased any negative memory I have around car service and repair. From the moment I met Jim he made my experience servicing the car easy and enjoyable. He clearly explained what routine maintenance included and the process of fixing this window. There were no unexpected surprises. He thoroughly answered my questions and proved to be extremely knowledgeable. I never had to wait for long periods and Jim made me feel confident that our car was in good hands. Most importantly, Jim seemed to genuinely care about me as a client and he made sure that he exceeded my expectations. I’m so happy that I have the support of Jim should we have any other problems with our car. Thanks so much for the great service!

The communication was very poor. I left the car on Friday and got a loaner because tires needed to be ordered which was ok. Hector promised a call on Monday to decide next steps, but never called. On Tuesday I called at 7 in the morning but he was busy so left a message. Waited but got no callback , called 3 more times during the day and finally I got hold of him after 3pm and got to know I can pick the car up in 10 min. There seems to be zero planning here which makes it very difficult for me to plan my day. I also got to know when picking up the car that my rear brakes need changing within a month time, if the service of the car had been done on Friday and this spotted and communicated with me I would have gladly signed up to get those replaced since the car was in service already and I would be happy to avoid the hassle again. Now I will take this business elsewhere instead.

It was pretty seamless, from appt scheduling to payment to pickup. The only surprise was the cost of rear brakes. $700 was higher than I thought it would be.
Chris was beyond attentive to my needs and schedule (I have kids) and also went above and beyond to help me remove some body stains from a bike incident that left some hard tire marks. He was super friendly and easy to talk to and above all, helpful and kind. Thank you Chris!

When we moved to SF from NYC 10 years ago Royal had a terrible word of mouth reputation and although VW GTI owners, we bought a Subaru in the suburbs without even looking at the Royal showroom. There has clearly been a major shift in customer care in your shop since then and we wouldn't hesitate to shop any of your four brands based on your current service.
