First experience with BP Honda. Very impressed by the Service Department. I was a little concerned after standing on the side of the road listening to music on the phone waiting for them to pick up before reception finally picked up. By that time my wife was suggesting Whittier Honda. Glad I held out.

I feel like I just paid $200 for a faulty battery. I bought my last battery and it only lasted 39 of 100 months. Not even half the time it was supposed to. On the vehicle inspection my (dead) battery was marked as "good" so it made it hard to have faith in the battery or the service, along with the high prices I was stuck paying. Yes, I agreed to do a diagnostic over fear that it wasnt just the battery, as a 100 month battery I replaced 3 years ago, shouldn't be failing so soon in my mind and the diagnostic could calm that fear. When it was only the battery I was stuck paying the diagnostic fee and even though it would give me a supposed credit toward the bearing repair, it didn't give me any credit towards that battery that failed years too early. I also know that most places wouldnt charge that high of a diagnostic fee when I told them where I think the issue is. Additionally, I was only quoted for 1 bearing, not both (as they usually fail close together) and I was not quoted for a hub. I know those parts are sometimes sold separately and it would have been likely I'd needed one but would have been up on the rack at your mercy. The hub should have been quoted along with the bearing, a worst case scenario, so I know going in the possibilities since it would have been highly likely. As a female, I am sure you didnt think I'd know that. Some are sold together and some sold separately. In my case, they're sold separately and the cost of the hub is substantial. I wouldnt have had a choice once you got the vehicle on the rack and torn apart. I prefer honesty and being up front, I also wait to see if that occurs, unfortunately here it didnt. No warranty was mentioned. No labor costs. I still hate the battery ended up costing so much but better than it turning into an $800 repair. I dont like the feeling I'm being taken advantage of and that's how I felt. The battery shouldn't have failed so soon or else I'd never have gotten such an expensive "diagnostic". When you expect something to last even half as long as it should you're left to explore other options when something fails. It frustrates me this happened. I dont make a lot of money as a paramedic and will have to work a whole day just to pay this off. I definitely won't be coming back. Unfortunately you were the safest, closest choice the day my car wouldnt start.

My appointment was on a Monday... Nobody likes Monday’s but with Joanne’s uplifting charisma she made my time there go by so quick and she really took her time to explain everything thoroughly on what was happening with my vehicle.
