My only problem, was the gentleman who gave me the loaner showed me how to shift for reverse and drive, but not how to start the engine. This hybrid SUV was very different from my ES 350, and I had to get a neighbor to come and try to figure out how to start the engine. It required a third thing to do, which I had no idea about.

I brought my vehicle in for a brake problem on Wednesday and received the loaner I requested. When I called on Thursday afternoon to see the status, I was told that the vehicle had not even been looked at yet. Around 5:00 I received a text that my vehicle was ready to be picked up. If I did not pick it up within 12 hrs I would be charged $79 a day. I had prior all-day Friday commitments and asked if I couldn’t bring the loaner back Friday night. I was again told it would be a $79 charge.
This was my first service visit at JM Lexus. One of the reasons I bought my car at JM Lexus was that the salesman emphasized what good service they provided. I’ve owned 5 Audis prior to purchasing a Lexus. I never had a charge or set time when I needed to return a loaner.
I also did not feel it was my job to call to get a status update. I should have been informed.
