We have a less than 2 year old Kia Sedona that we purchased a year and a half ago. The car has had several oil changes, the most oil change handled by Kia of Bedford less than 3 months ago. With 33K miles on the car, our engine light turned on and we were advised by Kia Bedford that our engine needed to be replaced and would not be covered by the factory warranty due to “our neglect in maintenance in not having the oil changed regularly”. We were informed we would therefore need to pay out of pocket $7K to replace.
The idea of it was absolutely ludicrous. I called corporate Kia who confirmed same.
