Received notification that vehicle was ready. When I went to pick up vehicle they had not rotated tires as they said they were going to. Had to wait for them to complete that once I showed up for the vehicle. They completed it in a timely manner but should have been completed initially. Also was told they put 5w-20 oil in the vehicle when it calls for 5w-30. I told them that it needed 5w-30 and got a prompt reply of "Kia recommends 5w-20". I responded stating the owner's manual says 5 30 and the cap says 5 30. He then checked with the technician who said he put 5 30 in...still not sure if I believe it. Point is....a service writer shouldn't be giving false information to customers when they don't know what the actual answer is....don't just say "Kia recommends 5-20 when you really don't know and then get corrected by the customer and the tech that worked on the car. Also complete everything on the vehicle you stated you would prior to telling the customer their vehicle is ready instead of wasting their time. Thank you

I am very happy with the service and particularly Mr. Palmer. The diagnostics revealed the break switch was faulty even though it was relatively new. Unfortunately, the original concern was that the “ECS OFF” light on the dashboard had come on. This was the third attempt to correct the problem, and it had been suggested the last time I was in the ABS module needed replacement. However, between this visit and the last one, I had taken my vehicle into a local mechanic I’ve used for years for routine service. I mentioned the “ESC” issue, he ran a diagnostic which indicated a faulty break switch which, I understood, could also cause the warning light problem. Today your mechanic confirmed a faulty break switch and replaced it. Unfortunately, about 5-7 minutes after leaving the service department, the “ECS OFF” light came back on. I would very much like to replace the ABS module as the safety considerations concerns me but we are retired with limited income and I cannot afford the estimated $1200 repair at this time.
