I went for a routine oil change. I have frequented this dealer service before and I’ve always had a positive experience. Mainly, because the reps never push or guilt me into getting additional services. That tactic does not work with me and it makes me not trust the services received. Yesterday, I received my Tire analysis once I drove into the service area. It noted that 2 of my tires were great, one might need air, and 1 I might consider replacing. (Great technology). When Andre called to tell me about my car, he told me that the technician said ALL of my tires were worn inside and out and that I needed tires immediately. I received the tech report, so why attempt to scare the customer. Is it because I’m a woman? This is nothing against Andre, perhaps it is a policy within the dealer to try to get the reps to sell us more and bring up the margins. But this just makes me doubt your services, your reps, and your dealership.
The last time I got an oil change, the rep told me I needed air filters. I chose not to get them. This time, I thought if the rep calls me and tells me I need air filters, it must be true- I’m going to get them. But there was no mention of air filters at all. The tires were all that was recommended immediately. When I went to pick up my car and I was paying did Andre mention that I need new air filters. I will more than likely go to another Honda service for that service.
If you do pressure your reps to increase sales, please don’t- that pressure trickles down to the customer.
