Brought my mother's car in at 9:30am for a 10am appointment. This was a scheduled appointment, not a drop-off. It was also the second time I brought the car in for this intermittent issue -- engine overheating. The day before, the engine got so hot, you could literally hear the bubbling of boiling fluid through the hood. The car was too dangerous for my 79-year old mother to drive anymore. Explained this to the tech. I said I could either wait during the appointment, or leave the car so they could spend time testing it. She suggested I leave it. Explained it was too dangerous for her to drive, so if they couldn't reproduce the issue, to come up with theories and try preemptive repairs. Instead of treating the issue as serious and urgent, the scheduler in charge put people with appointments after me and with less critical issues ahead of me all day long. Finally called at 3:30pm to ask for a status. Went in at 4pm to discover car hadn't been looked at. I had postponed a business trip by a day so I could bring the car in. Had to go NYC that night. Ended up leaving the car in Gideon Putman's parking lot for over a week while on my trip, and my mother had no car. Eventually had it towed to another dealer and they were very helpful.
Would have been more sympathetic if the manager had just admitted she messed-up. Instead I get excuses like "things happen", "we have emergencies", "I share your frustration", patronizing offer of $50 off next service. Really disgusted with the whole thing. Been coming there for 25 years and always had good experience, but really having a hard time accepting how I was treated.
In fact, this survey has reminded how infuriating it was when I just want to forget. Please do not contact me again.

After service, the next day, oil fluid was on the garage floor under the vehicle, upon returning to the dealership, after 1 hour, the explanation offered was the technician who replaced the oil filter was “sloppy “ and didn’t clean up after the service and the residual oil was left on the vehicle only to be dripping under the car. Which leads to the question, if the technician was “sloppy “ what about the rest of the work performed. An apology by the service associate just didn’t seem to be sufficient.
