The service team was very helpful, friendly ( Steven) and were very accommodating to my transportation needs regarding having to drop off and pick up my grandson from school. Michael Mills made sure that I had a rental car during the time my car was being serviced. This also allowed me to go to a work assignment during the time my grandson was in school.I have never had such service given to me without my having to pay additional costs for the rental! The recalls were taken care of, oil change service taken care of, problems with my Sync bluetooth taken care and Rick, another associate, downloaded and installed the Ford Alexa system and showed me how to work it and toggle between the different options. This has NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE from Any dealership. This service team gets a A+++++ from me for going above and beyond the call of customer service!

We dropped off our 2013 Explorer on Monday for A/C service. When my wife went to go pick up our car, the service department lost our key, which included a silver keychain which was very sentimental to my wife. She had to leave in a rental and come back the next day. The technician said he was sorry and would look for the key and would fill our gas tank. Today, the service department could not find the key so they created a replacement key. My wife went to go pick the car up and she had to wait over 10 minutes for them to bring the vehicle up front. Also, you did not fill the gas tank as promised and maybe you could have thrown in a free car wash, but no...
We purchased the 2013 Explorer at Ken Grody and we are in the market for a new 2020 Explorer SL. However, my wife said she never wants to go to Ken Grody again. So now we are looking at purchasing a new Explorer from North County or Encinitas Ford. This is a shame as my wife works up the hill from Ken Grody (on Armada Drive) and it has been convenient to have the car serviced at your dealership over the years.
Ken Grody needs to step it up. Your property is old and tired and lacking many of the amenities of all your dealer neighbors. The Service department is a chaotic mess and it doesn’t seem like you care about your customers.
We love our 2013 Explorer and are looking forward to the new model year. Unfortunately, we think it is time to shop at a different Ford dealer.
