Felt the transparency from Carlos was very poor. Below is the email I sent him and texted him without a response:
Carlos -
Disappointed in the transparency you presented when we discussed replacing the alternator in the 2012 MDX today.
You mentioned originally the part was $800 of the $1000 total and then changed that to $700 before we agreed to move forward. So we agreed to $700 in parts and $300 in labor.
You then offered to discount both parts and labor to bring the total to $890. The receipt I received says the part was $499, not $700. Therefore even with no discount in labor, the total should have been no more than $799 ($499 for parts and $300 for labor), yet labor shows $390 on the receipt without any clarification of hours of labor charges. With any discount in labor, it would be lower than the $799 mentioned above.
Would appreciate a refund of at least the difference in what I paid ($890) vs what the total should’ve been based on our discussion ($799 Max).
