The gentleman at the parts counter (his name unfortunately escapes me at the moment) was very welcoming and helpful. He even lead me to Mr. Leon’s desk. As we approached Mr. Leon’s desk, Mr. Leon did not look up from his computer screen nor welcomed me as I walked up. As I stood in front of his desk, he did not offer me a seat, and without looking up at me, he asked me two short questions: “2023 model?” & “what’s your mileage.” I answered respectfully, and asked Mr.Leon if I can take a seat. I believe my comment made him aware of his lack of hospitality because once I sat, he was very helpful and we chatted about our Mavericks. He explained he purchased one recently as well.
I understand that at the end of the work day, one can be fatigued and even short with others or possibly forget customer service training practices. I do not have any ill will toward Mr. Leon. I’ve in been in customer service for nearly two decades and I’ve acted like Mr.Leon before. As a supervisor I’ve had to retrain and remind my employees of the importance of protocols and procedures. I appreciate that I can be transparent, thank you for the opportunity.
