Actually, I was disappointed because I ask to have my bulbs in my headlights checked. I checked out later looked in the paperwork and indicated I asked but was not told how to get them done. What do I do now?

I came in for airbag initiator recall repair. While there I asked if they could update the maps on my navigation system. When I bought the 4-runner I was told that I could get it updated whenever I brought it in for service. I have not done so yet but it is not as accurate as I want it to be. I was told today that it is $170 to updated it’s by buying a new SD card!?! That was never explained nor, in my humble opinion, part of the deal. Why on God’s green earth would Toyota sell a product that requires so much to update/maintain? You know you have to change the oil. You know tires will need to be aligned, air pressure needs to be kept at optimal levels. Even at that the tires will have to be replaced eventually. Those are all things that are to be expected. Blindsided by a $170 fee to update maps that l expect to be—and should be— included because I paid for the navigation system? That’s just not right in any shape, form, or fashion. I think now all 4-runners come with navigation. When I bought mine it was an upgrade. Seems that the money I paid would cover those map upgrades. I guess Toyota dropped the ball on that one. Shows me that the customer is not first in the eyes of the corporation.

I was told that the part that was ordered and would be in when the appointment was scheduled. It wasn’t. I would have appreciated a call to notify me so I would not have wasted my time bringing my vehicle in to only get half the required recall work done. Now I have to come in again for a second visit to get all the work done.

Doug was fine. Each service rep assigned to our two cars seems to leave. Also, yesterday there was a sign saying car wash wasn't working. A week earlier I brought my car in to have it washed and I was told the cost is now $15. It may seem like a small thing, but having expected the car wash as part of the dedicated service, it made me start looking to trade my Camry Hybrid for a Lexus, but Park Place. I discovered that I would have to pay too much to get out of the lease a year early.
