Dropped my car by 7 am for a oil change and rotation. Also wanted them to look at my tv screen that suddenly will black out. Gave my extended warranty info. Didn’t get a call until 3:53 pm (remember i had planned on waiting for this) that they couldn’t do any warranty work on my van.

Very disappointed. When I left the check engine light was still on. It didn’t come on until after the maintenance reminder light. I assumed it was associated with needing oil change. Not one word was said to me nor was I asked about it. I noticed the light was still on on my way home so I contacted them and was told I need to schedule another appt. very dissatisfied about that. They claim a multi-point inspection was done and they couldn’t even mention a check engine light. I came to Honda because the service department at that Honda dealer in our home town in MO was the best. I’m strongly considering taking our vehicles somewhere else. The service they did seems fine but certainly nothing above or beyond average.

Came in for a vehicle emissions problem check engine indication. Per the usual, the appointment started of with a miscommunication. I called yesterday and indicated i wanted to bring the car up today. the phone operator told me to be at the dealer at 9am on 09/09. she set up the appointment for 09/10 instead. also aside from being there on the wrong day I should’ve two hours early thinking I could get ahead of myself for the day. so when I showed up two hours early on the wrong day Mike the service advisor seemed a little unwilling to help at first. after I explain the miscommunication on the appointment mike proceeded to check me in and told me due to “covid” check engine lights and other repairs of the nature or running half a day or more. You can imagine my surprise when I relayed to the lady on the phone the prior day with making the appointment but I needed the car without fail the day I dropped it off. This seems to be the thing with freedom Honda in service is a giant lack of communication. Anyway, I am under the assumption that my car is getting worked out and the manufacture warranty and I have purchased the Allstate protection package which I was under the impression entitled me to a rental car. so I was in the service area from roughly 7 AM to 8:30 AM trying to secure a rental so I could go take care of a few other appointments and I asked Mike when I first showed up to look into whether a rental car was available. It wasn’t until Alex Showed up and greeted me but I was able to further HONNE in on my need for a rental car so I can go run a few errands while I was waiting for mine. Alex stated to Mike that I was covered by the additional insurance plan that I purchased as well as the manufacture warranty and then the car would be provided at no charge. So I get the car go do my thing and return to find out that I’m getting charged for a rentalBecause the check engine light warranted no repair after they tested it for three hours in an order to be audible for a rental vehicle a repair needs to be made. You can imagine my enthusiasm for declining to pay a dime for the rental. At this juncture mike told me that’s what happens when I talk between two service advisors I get two different stories and he was on aware what was going on. I guess mike wouldn’t have to worry about what was going on if there was a standard. Bottom line you don’t tell the customer that they’re going to get a rental car to run some errands covered by either Honda or whatever damn warranty I purchased and returned to me and tell me I’m paying for the rental because no repair was made. What did you do with my car just look at it?I was with when my right to return to the dealership for a engine indication light under the manufacture warranty it should have not been subjected to this rental car scam Mike tried to pull on me after I observed him talking to the service manager About whether I would be charged or not. The last few warranty items I’ve had with your dealership and been a complete nightmare. The disorganization in the service department is unparalleled. I am done bring my car to freedom Honda for. anything. for your service advisor to sit there he told me he hast to eat the cost of the rental because no repair was made and proceed to get **** with me is completely out of line and I will not subject myself to that. Learn from me and do not treat other customers like that it will not fare well for you
