Perhaps I've been spoiled by my experiences at Beshoff Infiniti but Lexus service is terrible. I'm shocked by the lack of attention to detail of the tech. Except for Elmer, I am appalled by the lack of attention to details like leaving oil stained hand prints on the fenders of my car, missing bolts on the skid plate, uncleaned areas where work was done to at least show me what was done and an explanation of the work before and after. When I found out there were two bolts missing from under my car, I couldn't believe the sloppiness of the tech to leave such a liability on my car. I could imagine the open skid plate catching a branch , wire or road debris at high speed. This inattentiveness to a safety issue is shocking. I've never seen anything like it. Missing bolts are one thing but to say it was the result of one broken middle bolt, which the tech then felt compelled not to screw in the other 2 bolts is an odd reason to say the least. Though I may buy parts on occasion
I wouldn't trust Lexus with my car again. That's my initial thought. Elmer did his best, but I can't imagine the opaqueness of car repair with such a facility. For example, i asked for photos of the new water pump, starter, valve cover work...but I never got them. At Infiniti for example, I am allowed in the lift area to see the work and so photos aren't necessary. But because this was a week long job, I requested photos. I don't think it's too much of a request. However if it is, that's ok. Going forward this experience has been alarming and I hesitate to have a future repair here unless there's more transparency. Case in point, valve covers were replaced but yet I don't see evidence of air system hoses or wires in the surrounding areas removed. There's still dust in areas where hands would have touched or handled them. I feel I need to have a third party inspect the work. That's a feeling I never had at Beshoff Infiniti. It's sad, because I had a high opinion of Lexus as a company.

The maintenance required indicator was still on after I picked up my car, so I had to turn around and go back to ask them to reset it. I thought this would be a quick fix, but after 10 minutes of waiting, I asked again where my car was because I was in a hurry. I was then told that they didn’t reset the maintenance required indicator because I had come in for service, not maintenance. How am I supposed to know the difference?? I came in because my car had a problem that needed to be fixed, and I really don’t care about the difference in definition of service vs maintenance...I want them to fix whatever is wrong with my car. And when they tell me my car is ready, I expect my car to actually be ready, and not have me go back to the shop and wait an additional 15 minutes for something they should have taken care of.
Also, when I saw they had car washes and vacuums, I assumed they’d wash my car before returning it to me, but they didn’t.

Lexus always has good standards and I like the way you do business. This last time you said you’d have my bill right out but my name was never called. After 40 minutes I approached the desk and she found my bill in a tray and said my car had been outside for some time.

55k mile service informed me that battery and brakes were near the recommended level but not yet there. I was told it wouldn’t be an issue until the next oil change. 2 and a half weeks later, had to bring car back in for issue with brake grinding. When picking up the car, I asked about the battery since Lexus was in possession of the car, and I was informed that the battery was perfectly fine.
When I picked up the car, there were dust fingerprints all over the interior of my car which is absolutely ridiculous since I had just paid $200 to have the car luxury detailed 2 weeks prior. I’m assuming it’s brake dust since I was able to see fingerprints all over the rims. I figured I’d just clean it off myself since I had already left the lot.
7 hours later...
Car is dead in driveway and now I have to go back AGAIN for the 3rd time this month.
So disappointing for the price that I’ve paid to have my servicing done here.
Will definitely consider other options for my future servicing needs.

felt like the customer service at Lexus has significantly decreased. They forgot to fix multiple issues on several occasions which is frustrating. When I expressed to Carlos that I was unsatisfied with that he made it seem like my concerns were annoying and a ****. After mentioning that I wanted my maintenance light to be taken off of my dash he proceeded to tell me they couldn’t do that because it’s against “Lexus law” and I could YouTube it if I wanted to fix it... I was appalled. I understand if it is against company policy to clear the light but never once was this explained to me so I was confused that it was all of a sudden an issue now but also couldn’t get past the fact that I pay a premium price for a service worker to tell me to “YouTube” an issue. It was VERY apparent to me that he was really only interested in getting me to get maintenance done on my car because he had to bring it up multiple times even bringing up an unwarranted quote to me for 1,400$... how tacky. I’m really disappointed because I did feel so proud to be an Lexus owner But after this experience today I am seriously considering other options.
