I had a scheduled 9:30 appointment to replace my tires and by the time my truck was taken back to begin its service I was given a “promised time” of 3pm. I informed my service representative that I would be waiting on campus as I live more than 50 miles away. At 2:50 my service representative called me to inform me that my vehicle would be ready for pick up shortly and that there was a delay with balancing them. After walking over to the cashier and waiting for my receipt to be printed I received a call at 3:14 from my service representative informing me that there was a “miscommunication” and 2 of the 4 tires put on my truck were mismatched and the wrong size and would need to be re-done and that my truck would take another 3 hours. At 5:32 I was called and told my truck would be done soon and received a completion text at 5:47 that it was ready. My sales receipt was time stamped with a transaction time of 5:52. And was told that my truck would be out shortly. After waiting approximately 15 minutes I went back in to ask the cashier how long I should expect to wait for my truck and she informed me that it should’ve come out within 10 minutes. After telling her that it had now been more than 15 and approaching 20 she assured me that she had put in a priority request and that the valet was “still looking for it”. Using the theft patrol app provided when I purchase the vehicle I was able to track it and discover that it hadn’t been moved since 5:50. I was able to find my vehicle and determine it was unattended. A valet runner approached me and asked if he could help. After explaining that I had now been waiting over 25 minutes for valet to deliver my vehicle he escorted me to my vehicle, checked my paperwork and asked if I knew my way out of the back lot. After confirming I knew how to exit and the paperwork was once again double checked I started my truck. As I was getting ready to put my truck in gear a technician ran up to my drivers side window waving at me as if I was trying to steal the truck. I rolled down my window and asked what the problem was and he informed me that he had broken my antenna off in the Carwash and was trying to get a manager to replace it but that if I didn’t care I could leave anyway. I told him that I did not want to leave without my antenna being replaced when the manager came running out with an antenna. Overall I am disappointed with the poor quality of communication between the parts department who didn’t double check the tire size of all 4 tires before spending the time installing them, the lack of communication between the valet and cashier as to why there was a delay in the delivery of my truck in a timely manner and the way the valet runner told me that I was free to leave without replacing my antenna. I have been a Longo Toyota customer for over 14 years and have continued to drive over 100mi round trip because of the excellent service I typically receive from your service department however I feel the quality of care I received today on my only day off was sub par and that any other dealership would not have made the same mistakes.
