During my 60K service (57K miles run) on Apr 20, the local toyota dealership identified a major service related to suspension which is expect to cost around $3000. My vehicle usage is minimal which is quite evident from barely 57000 miles run during last 8 years. I'm extremely disappointed that the suspension control arm has failed with such limited use which clearly suggests defective quality from Toyota. The same inspection was performed during the last service (51K miles run) and I'm surprised a major issue such as this didn't show up then.
To make matter worse the Platinum warranty that I purchased from Toyota Financial Services (which I have never used) expired Feb 2 2021. As you can imagine this comes barely after 2 month after the expiry of my Platinum service warranty. If not for the COVID situation I would have done the extra miles and 60K service before the warranty expired.
I would like your help to make an exception and approve this repair under the warrant agreement. My details are below:
