My wife called and was told the replacement of two components would only be "a couple hundred". When she arrived, she was handed a quote of over $900, with suggested upsells of several hundred more.
She left.
I then got a call from someone in sales asking if I wanted to trade in my vehicle for a new one. I said I hadn't consented to be cold called for sales.
I later got a text saying:
"spoke with customer he said i am not interested sell or trad it for new car
Reply STOP to cancel."
That's just unacceptable.

I think that suggesting I need my brake fluid changed at 8,000 miles is a big insult to my intelligence. Paying 45k for a car that the fluid needs changed at 8k is awful. By not suggesting that the filters need changed already and the fluid needs replaced just doesn't give someone the feeling of confidence that they chose the right vehicle.
