Extremely Disappointed with Kia Service Experience at Kia Hilton Head
I am very disappointed with the service I received from Kia Services. I scheduled my appointment in advance and specifically informed the service representative two days prior that my family only has one vehicle and that I would need a ride to and from the service center. I even reiterated this on the day of my appointment and was assured that everything would be taken care of.
My appointment was at 9:45 AM. However, when it was time for me to return and pick up my vehicle. At around 3:00 PM, I was told that their concierge driver was unavailable because they were out picking up parts and other customers. This left me stranded with no way to get to the dealership.
To make matters worse, they lied stating they called my husband earlier informing him that there would be no pickup service, and when I called to dispute this, the supervisor falsely claimed that I had been notified an hour earlier—which was absolutely untrue. The service representative and supervisor were both unsympathetic and dismissive, which made the experience even more frustrating.
In the end, the manager did send someone to pick me up, but by that time, it was too late. I ended up being late to pick up my children from daycare and their after-school program.So I will have to pay late fees and also during my desperation I order a lyft which was charged to my account. On top of that, I was charged $219 for a vehicle checkup and a supposed repair to my radio—which still does not work. My main concern with my vehicle was the sound I heard which turned out to be my brakes and they do not have them in stock. So overall a few words to describe my experience are disappointed, dissatisfied, dismay, anger ????.
I have been a loyal Kia customer for over a decade, I have had my 2012 Kia and consistently got my service through Kia. This was, by far, the worst experience I have ever had. While I appreciate the manager’s attempt to make things right, the overall experience was unacceptable.
Unfortunately, I will not be returning to Kia or Hilton Head Honda for any future services.
