I had a very disappointing experience with the service department at Kia of Hilton Head, specifically with Alice Cliff. The communication and customer service I received were unacceptable. When I scheduled my repair, I was under the impression that the work would be covered under warranty. However, after bringing my vehicle in, no one informed me that there would be a $450 charge until later in the process. This lack of transparency was extremely frustrating. To make matters worse, my car sat at the dealership for over five hours with little to no updates. I had to repeatedly seek information about the status of my vehicle instead of being proactively informed. Throughout the experience, Alice was rude, dismissive, and showed very little concern for customer service or accommodating customers. A stressful vehicle repair situation was made even more frustrating by the poor communication and lack of professionalism. I expect honesty, transparency, and respectful treatment when dealing with a dealership, and unfortunately, this experience fell far short of those

We paid $220 for the mechanic to tell us the exact things we said we were coming in for. Then he refused to run a complete diagnostic on it because he was so focused on the broken tubing that we were going to fix. It honestly was a waist of my time to wait 5hrs just to be told what I already knew. We watched through the window as he looked at the car for three seconds then walk away cussing, then come back to repeat the cycle. Then when I asked for a quote on repairing the tubing, I had to do my own math and create an estimate based on numbers I was given. Overall, it was a waist of time and money.

I asked 4 things 1 look at the exhaust flex pipe 2 heat shield 3 give me the condition of the transmission fluid She said “it was dirty” really 61 k mileage I was told I had one quart of oil left having just had my oil changed March 3rd 4 trilling sound quit after driving over 25 mph and after 10 minutes driving I was never told these test dive it But the noise was because of low oil? Your service manager could not explain why the oil light didn’t come on when in fact it an oil pressure light so one quart wouldn’t cause it to turn on I asked was there any metal shavings in the oil she didn’t know Overall no communication between the technician her or myself I’m left with 300.00 dollars charge and still no answer on the trilling clicking noise

The KIA country of HHI/Okatie service department, and the whole dealership is such an inviting and relaxing establishment. Melissa Valdera-Pujol is a model employee of the service department, she was very helpful and friendly to us. She even went so far as to ensure my hybrid Kia Niro's service alert/ engine oil change reminder dash light was properly reset after our routine maintenance appointment. Lastly thank you so much for being a dog friendly business, it is oh so helpful to have that option. We will be back :)
