After bringing our vehicle home from a routine 10k oil change & maintenance appointment on a Saturday, we parked it in our garage. Thursday afternoon we pull it out of the garage to find oil all underneath where it was parked. We reached it out to the Service department and they actually suggested we drive it in, just add some oil to it. Ughh No! Then instead of the service department handling a towing service, they tell us to call the towing company. The Sequoia was dropped off first thing Friday morning. It took the entire day to resolve the issue. I would have thought since it was an error on your part we would have been a priority. We were not. As afternoon approached and we still had not received a phone call that we were told we would get, we called the service department at 2:03pm. It took some time and we didn’t speak to our rep, we had to leave our info. Miraculously a few minutes later I receive a text saying our vehicle is ready for pickup. Our rep called at 2:09 pm to let us know that a washer had been left off of the drain plug screw when it had been put in and that the torque wasn’t correct. I would think that for the amount of money we paid for this vehicle that a little more care would be taken and if an error does occur that the resolving of the issue could have been handled better in a more sincere or at least apologetic way. We left there Friday feeling like it wasn’t a big deal to Newbold Toyota that our engine could have blown while we were driving not to mention we may have been in an accident as a result of the mishap. I’m just very disappointed and feel let down by the service department.

Walking into the service dept is like you’re bothering them. Some advisors didn’t even look up. Very somber. Only one young lady looked up and smiled. They all look unhappy. They stare at their computers and avoid eye contact while checking you in or out. No small talk or anything.

Jim was very helpful and kind, suggested if we could drop our truck off there, they would try to get it fixed earlier than the first appointment they had available (8/14), and they were able to get it fixed on 8/4, so that we could get it home, as we were visiting here from Wisconsin! He also followed up well when I called to check on the status of things. Thanks!
