I brought what was considered a $20 gift card that was sent in the mail for the servicing of one of our vehicles, I was not allowed to use it because the clerk when paying said I had to present the coupon at the beginning when I dropped off the car. Well it wasn't a coupon but a gift card, and no where did it say present the coupon to the mechanic you drop the car off with. This is not the first time this has happened. Both of my vehicles are older Toyotas, and I am considering using a trusted local mechanic to avoid the expensive dealership prices for car servicing. It can be frustrating to stay a customer of Toyota of Glendora when you feel like their are bait and switch tactics used to get customers into their shop. My wife and I are in the market soon for a new family vehicle, and it makes us hesitant to purchase a vehicle from Toyota of Glendora or Toyota if the business philosophy resembles the methodology of a resort selling time shares.
