I took in my vehicle to have it inpected regarding possible drive shaft noise under the extentented warranty. I was told that the rear axle bearings were causing the noise not the drive shaft. I was quated a price of approximately $1000. I declined the repair and went to another Auto Repair shop and showed them the Toyota paperwork regarding the repair. They said they would inspect first to make sure if it in front or rear axle. It turns out it was not the rear axle but the front. My thoughts is what if the rear was repaired and then I get a call telling me the front end also needs repair I would of paid for something that was not necessssary. How would I ever know if both needed repair or not. I am not accusing or say this would of happened but as a customer I am trusting my vehicle to be repaired.
