I had my car serviced for routine maintenance 1 month ago. I was told of no major issues and the decal placed on my windshield said to return in 1 year or 10000 miles - my brakes were in the yellow region at worst in that report. Over the next few weeks, my car developed a grinding metal sound. Turns out my brakes were metal on metal, and I was told that I would need to spend $1200 to fix it. I had to call to get this information after several hours. No one called me to alert me of the diagnostic report. When I asked how this was possible, I was told it wasn’t. That the employee from the time prior had messed up. I was told that I would receive a call from a manager the next day. I received no phone call. I had to call, leave a number, and was called back over an hour later. At that time I was told you “had found a coupon” to lower my cost by $100 - as if my concerns were that trivial.
This experience was completely unprofessional and should be considered unacceptable by the owner of any business. I’ve been a loyal customer over years. And it would be one thing if that’s the only time. But the time before I asked for an oil change, and all I got was a tire rotation / maintenance check. Something I didn’t notice until later so I had to bring my car back for an oil change later - not easy with a full time job. A couple years ago I had to bring my car in for a weird noise after maintenance because someone forgot to reconnect something during maintenance.
At this point, I’m not sure what is supposed to be motivating me to remain with your service department. It doesn’t seem I can rely on your evaluation of my car without the possibility of my car being damaged by negligence. I can’t rely on management to call me when I was told it would happen to discuss my concerns. I can’t rely on getting the services I requested. I’ve recommended by family and friends to get service with you, and now I’m just frustrated and disappointed. I’ve been charged for labor and expertise that clearly isn’t worth what I’ve paid recently. And only the gentleman I talked to on Friday night seemed to be apologetic about it.
I don’t know what internal review process you have to address problems, but this should be reviewed.

I went in for 60k mile service. Oil change, transmission fluids, and brake fluid. Only oil change was completed due do bolt being broken on skid plate and mechanics going to lunch and not being able to finish my service. Now I have to go back for services to be completed on a different day. I drive 35 minutes for your service and not happy I now have to change my schedule to come back the following week.

I originally took my 2010 Toyota Corolla to Romeoville Toyota when I purchased it back in March 2024 for a complete maintenance inspection because it only had 19k original miles when I purchased it and I wanted to make sure everything was good with it before driving it daily. It all checked out but I was not thrilled with the service advisor and when my car needed servicing, I looked for another Toyota dealer in the area to provide service. That’s how I came across your dealership. I scheduled an oil change/ tire rotation online and found a coupon thru you for $69.99 and booked an appointment. I arrived on time, 1045 hrs, and it took over 2 hours for those services. Yes- I accepted a complimentary car wash, but I was a little unhappy waiting over 2 hours for the service provided considering I waited there for my vehicle since I drove 45 minutes to get to your dealership. The service advisor who greeted me appeared to want me to do other unscheduled and unsolicited work also, brake job and bleeding the brakes- and I am happy that the previous owner had most service done thru Toyota also, because this was shown to be done recently. Your dealership is clean, people were friendly, and the 45 minute drive there was easy- just a little disappointed about how long it took to complete my service. I will go back though and see how the next time goes before I consider trying another Toyota dealership for service. Thank you
