I recently had a disappointing experience with Ara. I was provided an initial quote for an oil change, but when I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I discovered a voicemail from Ara stating that the quote had changed—after the service had already been completed without my approval. When I raised this concern, Ara attempted to shift the blame to me, suggesting that I should have known what type of service my vehicle required. He then tried to justify the increased price by searching for exclusions on the discount I received from Bob Smith Toyota.
Despite my explanation that the Bob Smith Toyota website listed lower prices for the same service, he still attempted to overcharge me. Additionally, he stated that going forward he had made a note in my file to charge me $135 for future oil services, which I found inappropriate and unprofessional.

I received a coupon by mail which was for 3 oil change services. When I brought my car in they checked me in and accepted my coupon and we agreed on the work to be done.
When they finished, I received a call saying that they would not honor my coupon because of the type of oil my car required.
I understand that this oil is more expensive but I should have been advised before they did the job. I found this highly unprofessional.
