At first I was quoted $3K for a new hybrid battery, then I got a call back saying it was actually going to cost nearly $6K because the first estimate was based on the wrong generation of battery. But, I was told, the investment made sense because the car is worth $12-15K. Turns out that was based on the wrong VIN, and it's only worth about $6K. I almost made a huge, ill-advised financial decision thinking a new battery would increase the value of my car to more than twice its actual value. I'm honestly pretty disappointed about all of this, especially since I'd already started working on financing options for the erroneous $3K quote.

I was in for a 5k checkup and requested an additional oil change as a 5k oil change best practice. I was quoted and agreed to $60. When they were complete, I was told $180 and was never informed of the difference. They ultimately pulled forward my 10k oil change Ala carte and said they would still honor my 10k services, less the oil change, at that time. Wasn't real pleased by the 300% price difference without any consult. Would be easier to just spell our 5k, 10k, 15k, 20k services and also to let the customer know cost changes before action is taken, especially if notable.
