I have been buying vehicles from and having those vehicles serviced by Airport Honda since 2007. Today I learned for the first time, after my vehicle had been serviced and immediately before I was to pay for that service, that there would be a 3% up charge for using a credit card. I was informed that there would be no up charge if I paid by check, debit card, or with cash. I don’t use a debit card, as they provide no financial benefit to the consumer, and I wasn’t informed of this policy in advance, so I did not make a point of bringing my checkbook or hundreds of dollars in cash with me. I will be making inquiry into whether West Side Honda charges its customers for the mere use of their credit cards.
