Acknowledge my presence. It took too long for Mike to get me. The other service man and I could see each other clearly through the glass. Yet, he did not acknowledge me by nodding or waving.
Later, after I got my coffee, I went back to the nicely renovated area outside the parts department. Two ladies sat behind the desk, both on the phone. A man stood behind the other desk. None of them had the decency to acknowledge me. None of them smiled at me, looked me in the eye, nodded their heads, or mouthed "we'll be with you in a moment." Let me know that you see me. Give me hope that you will help me as soon as you can.
