We love Thompson’s Honda, and this won’t change that. However, we do think you would want to know this happened. A day or two after our oil change, I got in on the passenger side and noticed there were two screws in the floorboard. I was super confused about where they came from, but didn’t think a whole lot about it. However, today we opened the glove compartment to get out a napkin, and all of the napkins smell like oil. There was a really strong smell coming out of it. My husband emptied it out and found that a rag soaked with oil had been left in our glove compartment. We are assuming that the screws and the rag were from taking out the filter to inspect it. Nothing seems to be loose, so maybe alternate screws were used or the technician had some extra screws and dropped them?? Because the rag was left in our glove compartment, everything we had in there now smells like oil and our warranties and other paperwork are oil soaked. Just thought you would want to know it happened, so perhaps a careful check of anything being left in the glove compartment could be done in the future.
