I have dropped my truck off with Akins to fix my radio twice now. I have missed time at work and had to delay service both times in order to get an appointment with a vehicle so I could make it to work at all. I picked my vehicle up this Friday after leaving it with Akins for 10 hours so they could replace my entire radio unit. I was told at around 3pm that my vehicle was ready to be picked up with no other information. I showed up after getting off work and my radio still does not function properly. After driving around for a short while, I realized that the volume would not move from zero unless the Auto Start-Stop function was engaged. So I can only hear my radio while stopped at a red light. I called today to get some information on this and was told that a technician would call me back. I never received a call. What is my only solution? Schedule ANOTHER appointment, probably 2 more weeks away in order to get a vehicle that I can drive to work which will make me late to work again for the third time for the same issue which could have been avoided by the radio technician checking his work. Absolutely dissatisfied.

I’ve come here for my vehicles first three oil changes and each time the issues with my vehicle become more and more serious. First time was minor, they didn’t reset oil life on the dash. Second time I get multiple CEL notifications is the FordPass app, and they had no idea what was going on. I popped the hood and found they left a sensor unplugged on the air filter box and was able to clear the code. This most recent time, there was oil smudged all into the front fender, door handles and a crusty residue near my hvac controls. Additionally, when I opened the hood I was greeted with the intake tube hanging off the airbox completely loos, which I had to reattach and tighten myself to keep unfiltered air from entering the engine. Upon further inspection, I noticed they had the air filter out to check its life, but proceeded to leave leaves, trash and rocks in the bottom of the airbox. I’m concerned to find out what will happen next time if the trend continues as it has. The service staff are super friendly and great to deal with, but it seems the technicians need to take a minute and double check or just provide the service we should expect from Ford.

Department did everything I asked for. Multiple times the service rep was responding and answering questions like I was ignorant to how a vehicle is to be operated along with my knowledge of the repair process. I had decided to be patient with him because it’s likely that he deals with many customers that are oblivious to vehicle repairs. On Tuesday February 27, 2024 I called Akins and asked to speak with a Service Manager and I was forwarded to Jason’s voicemail and later that day I received a call from who I believed was Jason because he said his name was Jason. After speaking for several minutes he told me that I was speaking to Bobby Reeves and, I quote, he said “well my name is Jason but everyone calls me Bobby”. I found it very strange so after that phone conversation is when I decided that I was not going to allow Akins Ford to make any repairs on my vehicle. Picked it up Friday March 1, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. and it is now at the Hayes dealership in Oakwood, GA but that is not after I was charged a ridiculous amount for the service department at Akins to check my vehicle. $582.00 for 0 labor hours and 0 parts is very unreasonable. I chose to pay it so that I leave without any further troubles and my vehicle. High praises and satisfaction. Had 2 other dodge dealerships tell me that dodge had no repair or if they ever would have a repair. They left a bad taste in my mouth about dodge. But then I reached out to you guys and Erica in the service depth said there is a fix and they could have the part in a few days. I was overjoyed. The abs and anti lock skid control lite has been on since October of 23.thank you once again extremely satisfied with service and with Erica. Tell her big thanks. Sincerely George P
