I have purchased 10 cars from Aiken over the last years. Never have I ever been treated like a number more so than I was today. I ended up not even leaving my car. I had called the care team made the appointment. It told them exactly what was wrong with my car. They booked me on a Thursday when the person that could only work on my car only comes in on Wednesdays and Fridays so I pretty much decided. I'm probably just going to trade the car and get rid of the Ford if that's kind of how I'm going to be treated after 10 purchases

I have been doing business with Akins for several years, including buying vehicles and have the majority of my service related items done there. I have always relied upon suggestions as to items that might need repaired. Today I was taken aback at something. I was told that I had not one but two nails in two tires. One was in the “sidewall” and could not be repaired and the other tire somewhere t could be repaired. Options given replace one tire at nearly $400+ and not worry about the other at the moment, no leaking.
Opted to go to my tire shop. Found the nails, no nail penetration, no leaking, no problems with the tires. I drive about 1-1/2, hours round trip and wait, sometimes up to 2+ hours to have the service. Have places I could go that are closer to me I could go. But come there because you are a faith based company.

I am satisfied with the actual service, waiting time, and ease of making the appointment. I was surprised when I walked in the waiting area. It appears that some seating had been removed from the waiting area. Not certain about that. My bigger issue was having the checkout area outside in the drive through area. Today was windy and very cool. The space between the computers for customers seemed cramped. I know a worker was trying not to interrupt an employee standing between two desk areas, so he went around behind the employee checking me out. There wasn’t much room for him to easily pass by and it was awkward for everyone. I’m thankful it wasn’t rainy and damp but that is not an ideal checkout area. During hot or extreme weather , it will be most uncomfortable for employees and customers. Additionally, the card reader wasn’t working at my checkout station, which prolonged the process. Employees and customers should not have to endure uncomfortable situations such as these when a perfectly workable checkout procedure and location was in place. Akins has always strived to be customer friendly, but this change has missed that mark.
