I didn't receive my 21 point inspection. out the next day I needed a battery and windshield replacement with dirty air filter. Totally disappointed

My service advisor called to explain the issues, and the cost to repair. I didn't authorize the repairs as the were ~$3,200, and followed up with an email. One issue could be fixed by removing the system (air dam), and another I was planning to repair myself as it would be almost $2,000 but the parts were less than $200. The truck went to a different department for another diagnosis, then I got a call saying it was ready to pick up. When I arrived, there was a balance due of $175. It was parts for the repair that I specifically did not authorize. Due to the cost dropping substantially (warranty paid for most of it), I paid for the repair. I was not called with an updated cost, or notified of the warranty status.
Overall, I am glad the repair was done, and the process was simple and easy. Had I received a call with an updated cost, I would have authorized the repair. My issue is that the call was not made. The primary reason that we buy our vehicles from Akins is due to the ability to get a loaner or rental when our vehicle is being repaired, and we plan to continue buying here until something changes.
