Although the overall experience was good I was a little disappointed that on the way home I attempted to use my windshield washer to clean my windshield only to find out it was completely out of washer fluid. Maybe my expectations were too high based on the service I have previously received from my non oe dealer oil change and fuel filter services that I was paying a lot less than the $433.38 that I paid Akins Ford this morning. Last oil change and tire rotation required a return trip due to when they rotated my tires they did not adjust air pressure and I drove home with 80 psi in the front and 60 psi in the rear.
I really desire to have a good relationship with my Ford dealer but it’s this lack of attention to details that has me questioning everything. Do you torque my oil change plug or are they just driving it in with an impact? Are they torquing the wheel studs or just slamming the wheel nuts on with an impact?
It might be time to return to my independent shop where I never had to 2nd guess the quality of care.
