Russell did a great job of listening to me explain the issue we were experiencing with our truck. In addition he set up our 80k mile check and regular servicing. Russell was very prompt in communication and professional.

The problem that brought me to Akins was not completely taken care of. The problem occurs at higher speeds and I’m sure my truck was not test driven afterwards. I had absolutely no problems with the service staff. I’ll probably return next week. Thank you.

This is Mark Coffman responding. Although I believe **** was not completely at fault for my displeasure in how our Ranger was serviced, I think he could have done a little more. We brought our Ranger in on 7/30 and didn’t get any update until I called on 8/4. **** told me the service department did not get started on our Ranger until 8/1. We brought it to be serviced because we were concerned about the styrofoam between bed & cab and we saw a loose lock washer on the tailgate cable. I was told the foam was normal, it is supposedly a sound barrier. **** then told me they would be looking at the tailgate cable and we would hear from him on Tuesday, 8/5. During the call on 8/4, **** asked if we had had the tailgate cables added aftermarket because they were red. I told him no and shared with him that we had found Ford Forums on line discussing both the styrofoam and the tailgate cables. So, I received a call and text that the Ranger was ready Tuesday morning and heading to Akins at about noon. We live in Snellville, it’s about a 45 minute drive. I met up with **** when I got there and he had our Ranger brought to the service bay. We both went back to the tailgate and I noticed the lock washer was still loose. **** commented, I wish I had seen that earlier. He and another service person then tried to loosen & tighten the nut holding the lock washer in place, but it didn’t budge. **** told me that he would need to take the Ranger to the body shop and asked if I wanted to go. I declined and told I’d wait in the waiting area. A short time later he came back with the keys to the courtesy truck I had returned earlier. So after wasting about 2 hours of my time Tuesday I headed home. On Thursday, 8/7, we received a call that our Ranger was ready for pickup. After I picked it up, I told our sales rep that I wanted to speak with a manager about our situation. I spent about 15 minutes meeting with Sterling, explaining just about everything I have written. As I was waiting for my Ranger, I noticed the Reliable, Responsive, Knowledgeable Commitment pledge. Based on my experience being knowledgeable of the 2025 Ranger truck was lacking based on the questions I was asked. Our previous service experience with our 2023 Mustang was much more pleasant and productive. Thanks for listening.

I was in and out in record time today. I was told an hour for the works oil change and service. I was out of there in less than 45 minutes, not much over 30. For a dealership that is hard to find. Bobby was very nice and offered good information. The waiting area is great. I was very pleased.

Biggest thing for me is that it’s getting harder and harder to find an honest dealership anymore. Everybody wants to do extra stuff that it ain’t time to do yet. I’ve been there a couple of times and have never felt like anybody’s been trying to take advantage of me. So that’s nice.
