I have 14 month old car and the air conditioning system failed. I was charged for the diagnostic to find that the condenser had been punctured. Upon further inspection, it was determined that a large insect was the culprit of the puncture. An insect. It is disheartening an insect can cause the system to fail, and further not be covered under warranty. I was subsequently quoted nearly $1,700 for the repair (about 10% of the car’s value), later to find the part elsewhere for less than $100, and completed the repair and service for less than $300.
