We took my car in for a code on the dash. When we got it back, there was a new problem. It took 2 more visits to rectify the problem. The new problem was caused by the first tech who worked on my car. It won't change my love for toyotas... but I may not bring it back ro your shop. Whether or not I was given a loaner is a pain too. I smoke...

Overall, this was a challenging appointment due to odd team communication. Customers without appointments were taken ahead of us and left early. We were 10 minutes early and left over 2 hours later.

The woman who helped me wasn’t Kaileigh Sterling. The woman who had helped me was Haylee Shelly, and she did a fantastic job. I do have a complaint however about things I observed when I dropped off and picked up my (spare) vehicle. The time I spent standing around waiting for an advisor to help me or even bother acknowledging my existence while I stood there listening to several advisors having their own personal conversations unrelated to their jobs (it happens, but not while multiple customers are) waiting for anyone to so much as say “someone will be right with you”. That really blew my mind. Haylee was seen during this time looking to be busy back and forth away from the desks, and once she got to the desk she ultimately was the one who greeted me and proceeded to helping me. I originally brought the car in for a recall because I decided I didn’t want to kill another tree for my share of reminders, and like I figured, it would need some sort of pressing repair (it’s an older car), and Haylee had been ontop of everything, kept me informed of any changes or issues, and was able to accommodate my needs without it having been a hassle for me to maneuver around other obligations and appointments that I had as well. For the record, this was the first and only time I have had any interactions with Toyota of Puyallup and any of the employees who work for them to my knowledge. However, before I was able to stay at home, I had spent ten years working for a New Car Dealer doing multiple positions including customer relations manager for service and sales. It just really set me back by how much it really does make such a huge difference as to how someone will feel about something or someone based on the first few minutes (if they even give that long). It also took 20+ minutes (no exaggeration whatsoever) for my vehicle to be brought to the front door, and if this is the norm (which I think is crazy), someone should really take two seconds to inform the customers that although their vehicle has been completely since 1pm, it’ll take 20-30 minutes or so before you’ll get to put the items your trying to balance without dropping down and just take two trips maybe. Like I mentioned, this is a spare vehicle so I know it’s not a top priority to bring an old beat up dog-car so I’m not writing this to ding the heck out of the survey when it comes to me cause I get how important the surveys can be, and frankly I had a very good experience with Haylee, so it’s my experience with her alone that I am going to base my survey on, because if I were to base it off of the overall service department as a whole, it wouldn’t be very pleasant.

The gal who check me in did not appear to be really interested in what she was doing. I walk down a got coffee and came back and my truck was wait when I got back. I sat down and waited to be called 10 minutes went by and I went to the contour and ask the same gal that check me in if my car was ready. She said to was just now finished. No true. It has be out front for 10 minutes. She told me to have a seat and she would call me. I watch her slowly walking around doing something close to nothing she called you about 10 minutes later. If she does not like her job she should move on.

Richard made up for a bad service experience that I had last week. I originally had a maintenance appointment set up last Friday 2/24, and when I walked in and was able to check in with an advisor, she asked for my name and when I gave her my name, called to her co-worker and asked if it was the same wait time. When the co-worker semi acknowledged her question, she said that it was going to be a 3-5 hour wait time. She gave no explanation and then gave me attitude when I said I would like to reschedule because I would be waiting for my car and the wait time was too long, especially with not being late and having an appointment scheduled. Richard apologized for the inconvenience and even saw in my file that the other advisor had put the wrong vin in my file and would have had a charge. He fixed my file and said that the wait would be much less time and that I wouldn’t be charged. He serviced everyone that I observed the same and had a genuine smile.
