I’m still trying to understand why I’m being charged $4000 to diagnose and fix my navigation/sound system when they worked perfectly when I dropped off my vehicle service for battery change. It seems odd to me that I need to pay for a replacement of a system that was broken while my vehicle was in being serviced.

I had an awkward encounter with Mr. Christian Santos. I came back at 3pm after dropping off my car at 8:30am (it was ready at noon). He asked if I could do a test drive with the tech. I said okay. When he came back with the tech, I asked him, “why are you having me do the test drive now and not when I dropped off my car in the morning? I feel like it was a waste of time having to get the loaner car”.
Chris could have just replied with “it’s our protocol” and explain the procedures to me objectively. Instead, he claimed, “You had an attitude with me and I don’t appreciate that especially when I treated you with the utmost respect”.
I replied to his comment in my defense, “I don’t want to be charged for $224 for not finding anything”. He said to me that it cost $224 for the techs to inspect it and it can be waived if it’s a defect through manufacturer since I have the 9 yr warranty.
I am a very direct person and speak my mind. I didn’t scream or raise my voice, it was a question. I simply asked him a direct question and I felt that he was overally sensitive and claims that I gave him an attitude. It felt very unprofessional for him to talk to me like that. It made the situation so awkward. I just want him to be objective and I would have understood.
I know it’s a misunderstanding but I feel that reps shouldn’t be making guests feel bad and uncomfortable especially since my “attitude” was misinterpreted by him.
