Excellent customer service from Christian Santos

This was my second service visit and the feeling was completely different than the first. Please understand that my vehicle hit 30,000 miles so maybe there is supposed to be a difference fron my initial visit at 25,000 miles. The tech during my first visitwas very informative and friendly. I ended up sending a positive review on that interaction. But on this most recent visit, the initial interaction was great. There was a common affinity for a sports team so we got to talking but shortly after that I got hit with multiple up sells in the price range of $1000. There’s no way in hell that a car with 30,000 miles should need $1000 in upgrades. I did the research on everything that was being proposed and they’re not even within manufacturer recommendations. Honestly felt like it was a money grab, and I have really considered going to a different Lexus dealership for service in the future. The reality is if I would’ve got the initial service tech that I requested I probably would not be feeling this way. But instead, the tech I requested was not available so I took whoever was left and then ended up with Frank the five month guy who is doing what is best for Frank and the business but not for the customer. Yes I understand, preventative maintenance will definitely help, but if it’s not a manufacture recommendation there is a significant chance it’s not needed. I didn’t think the service department would be a place where you guys would try to do the money grab but then again a lot of people that buy into these vehicles come from money and are naïve enough to pay whatever you all ask. Please don’t get me wrong, Frank is a nice guy. I just hope that this is not a culture that you’re promoting to your techs
